The interactive map of Madeira, tested on the ground

Every place I've genuinely visited on the island, geolocated and filterable: viewpoints, levadas, natural pools, waterfalls, beaches, villages and good tables. The map opens in your browser or in the Rexby app, and can be downloaded to stay accessible offline on your phone.

What the map actually changes

Places scouted on the ground

Viewpoints, levada starting points, natural pools, waterfalls, villages and restaurants: every address is geolocated and comes with practical advice (best time, difficulty, parking).

Filterable in two seconds

By category and by area of the island. Wondering what to do around Porto Moniz on a rainy day? The map answers straight away, no need to scroll through ten blogs.

In the browser or in the app

The map opens directly from a phone, via the browser or the Rexby app (iOS and Android), and can be navigated one-handed, whether driving or on a trail.

Downloadable offline

The map can be downloaded in the app to stay accessible without a signal, and every place opens with one tap in your GPS. Handy in the northern valleys, where signal plays hide and seek.

Updated as I keep travelling

A levada closes, a restaurant drops in quality, a new spot opens: the map evolves, and you keep access.

Map or personalised itinerary? The two work together

The interactive map

For independent travellers who like putting together their own days but want to avoid tourist traps and unnecessary miles. Immediate access, usable from day one on the island.

The tailor-made itinerary

For those who want to arrive with a day-by-day programme already worked out: accommodation bases, order of visits, weather plan Bs and real travel times. That's my job as a travel planner specialising in the island.

Frequently asked questions

What is Lulu Travel's interactive map of Madeira?+

It's an online map bringing together the places I've tested on the island: viewpoints, levada hikes, natural pools, beaches, villages and restaurants. Every point is geolocated, sorted by category and comes with practical advice. It's used from a phone, before and during the trip.

Does the map replace a personalised itinerary?+

No, it complements it. The map gives you the raw material: where to go and what to see. A personalised itinerary organises your days around your dates, your pace, the weather by side of the island and your accommodation. Many travellers start with the map, then move on to a tailor-made itinerary.

How do I access the map after purchase?+

Access is online, immediately after purchase, from any browser or from the Rexby app (iOS and Android). Nothing else to install, and access stays valid for your future trips too.

Does the map work offline?+

Yes: from the Rexby app, the map can be downloaded to be consulted without a signal. Each place then opens in your GPS app for directions, which is invaluable in the northern valleys where mobile coverage is patchy.

Is there a free map of Madeira that's just as complete?+

Free maps mostly list the big classics that are already crowded. The value here is the curation: places genuinely visited, timing and parking advice, and disappointing addresses left out.
