Madeira, tailored

Custom Madeira itinerary, planned day by day for you

Your dates, your pace, your walking level and your budget: I build a Madeira itinerary that genuinely works, area by area, with a weather Plan B for every day. Independent travel planner, no commission.

How your itinerary is built

1 · The free discovery call

30 minutes to understand your pace, your budget, your walking level and what you absolutely want to see in Madeira. No quote is sent without this call.

2 · Building the itinerary

I organise your days by area to limit driving: the south and Funchal, the Paul da Serra plateau, the north and Porto Moniz, and the São Lourenço peninsula. Each day has a weather backup plan.

3 · The travel notebook

A clear day-by-day document: recommended timings, real hike durations, bookings to make, tried-and-tested restaurants, an estimated budget and alternatives in case of mist.

4 · The map and follow-up

All the places geolocated on your phone, plus one adjustment after you receive it and support during your stay if the weather changes the plan.

What's in the Madeira notebook

  • A day-by-day itinerary adapted to your real dates and flight times
  • Hikes and levadas chosen to suit your level, with honest elevation gain and duration
  • A selection of accommodation by area, with no commission of any kind
  • Restaurants, cafés and viewpoints tried in person, not copied from a blog
  • A weather Plan B for every day, essential on an island with two climates
  • Estimated budget, car hire and bookings to make in advance

Questions from travellers

What exactly is a custom Madeira itinerary?

It's a day-by-day plan built solely for you: your dates, length of stay, walking level, budget and wishes. Nothing is copied from a template. You receive a complete travel notebook with recommended timings, real travel times and tried-and-tested addresses, plus a geolocated map of the places.

How much does a custom itinerary in Madeira cost?

Packages start at €185 for the essentials and go up to a fully turnkey service. The complete Madeira itinerary with notebook is €285. I take no commission on accommodation or activities: the fee you pay is the only cost of my work.

How long does it take to receive my itinerary?

Generally allow 7 to 10 days after the discovery call and quote approval, depending on the length and time of the trip. In high season, get in touch at least two months before departure to keep a good choice of accommodation.

Do you need to hire a car in Madeira?

Yes, in almost all cases. The levadas, the north and the high plateaus are not properly served by public transport. I specify in the notebook which days a car is essential, where to park and which stretches to avoid in fog.

Can the itinerary be changed once received?

Yes. One round of adjustments is included after you receive it. And if the weather changes everything on the ground, you can write to me: Madeira often comes down to swapping two days around.

Are you a travel agency?

No. I'm an independent travel planner: I don't sell flights, hotels or packages. I organise and design your trip, and you book everything yourself directly, with no middleman and no hidden commission.
